About me:

I love trying new clean products and rituals when it comes to skincare and beauty.

I most definitely take a holistic approach when it comes to my skin’s health - it comes from within. To me this means take time for myself and recognising my needs, that could mean drinking more water or taking a break/ slowing down to reduce my stress.

It’s not just about what you apply externally, although that helps too.

Step 1: Cleanse

I always double cleanse. I’ll start with an oil cleanser firstly to remove my makeup, then depending on the condition of my skin I might go for a cream or gel based cleanser. One of my favourite oil cleansers is from Caudalie’s Vinoclean range. I use two pumps to remove my makeup and rinse off, before moving on to my second cleanse.

Step 2: Mask

I love treating and nourishing my skin with a mask. It might be a clay or a moisturising mask, depending on how what my skin needs that day. I use a detoxifying mask once a week as I have combination skin, therefor I need to keep the oil and blemishes at bay. This is my go to mask when it’s my time of the month - Period by Faace. I apply a light layer all over my face and let it work it’s magic for 10-15 mins before I rinse it off.

Step 3: Tone

Once I’ve rinsed off the mask, to help the moisture soak into my skin I use Caudalie’s grape water spray. This is my favourite spritz all year round, but especially during summertime. I spray lightly all over my face and neck, then I’ll follow with an eye cream and let that settle.

Step 4: Serum

Again, depending on what my skin needs this product might vary. At the moment I’m seeking brighter, glowy skin. If I needed more hydration I would switch this up for a hyaluronic acid or niacinamide which helps with the issues I face having combination skin. Currently I’m using Aurelia’s revitalise and glow serum. I use about 3 drops and let it sink into my skin.

Step 5: Night Cream

Depending on the time of year, I might go for a cream or an oil (or both!). As it’s currently summer time, a night cream such as Aurelia’s cell revitalise moisturiser gives my skin enough hydration and nourishment. I take a small amount of the product and massage it into my face and neck gently.
