EU Delivery Updates
From 1 July 2021, all EU-based orders outside of the UK, with value of EUR 150 or less, are no longer expected to pay custom clearance fees when the order is delivered.
Got questions on how Brexit will impact your order? We’re here to answer them and will keep this page updated regularly if anything changes.
Will I still be able to order to Europe after Brexit?
You can still place your orders and shop as normal. We are taking every possible measure to ensure your shopping experience remains unaffected.
Will I be liable to pay duty or customs charges on my order?
We are committed to ensure the changing guidelines are followed and our offering to European customers remains competitive. Orders to EU countries (please see exceptions below) will be via IOSS and therefore there will be no additional customs fees for you to pay for orders under EUR 150.
Our customers will be charged the full VAT of the total order value at the checkout. The VAT rate applied will be the one applicable to the relevant EU state, where the order is being delivered to.
*Please note it is still taking the EU and our delivery partners time to reach the correct process for orders import. In some instances you may be requested to pay duty. This is unfortunately outside of our control, but we’re always on hand to help. Just contact our Customer Care Team (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Will this be applied to everyone?
It will apply to all orders that meet the following criteria:
- Order value has to be EUR 150 or below
- The order has to be delivered to EU Member State regions (excluding UK).
- The 150 EUR threshold is exclusive of tax and is only applicable to the value of goods (excluding shipping costs).
What happens if the order is over EUR 150?
Since January 1st 2021, orders over EUR 150 are subject to duties and import VAT. This currently remains unchanged.
Please feel free to get in contact with our Customer Service team at email@example.com, who will be more than happy to arrange a VAT refund with the relevant documents.
We’re doing our best to make this process as easy and as fair as possible for our customers. Please bear with us as we continue to review this.
Exception - Ireland
We are aware of the increasing issues our Irish customers are facing with deliveries into Ireland. In hope to help improve this situation we’ve decided to send all our Irish orders via delivered duty paid (DDP).
Due to this, we’ve unfortunately had to increase our free shipping threshold to £40, and the delivery charge to £5.95, however every single order to Ireland will be sent with no additional custom fees to pay either. The overall delivery journey should be far smoother. If you have any questions at all, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and our Customer Service Team will be more than happy to help
