Tan Organic is an award winning, Eco-Certified self-tanning brand which is 100% natural! This organic tan creates a beautiful golden colour without the dreaded 'biscuit' smell, and is made from 87% certified organic ingredients. TanOrganic is unlike most other self tans - it is based with Aloe Vera and contains no parabens, preservatives or drying agents, which lead to a flaky tan. TanOrganic is organic certified by Ecocert, and the Eco-certification process is one of the most stringent in the market as Ecocert undertakes at least one complete audit per year, supplemented by spot checks over the course of the year. The entire production chain is checked, from the raw material to the finished product. TanOrganic is also certified by PETA, The Organic Trust, The Ethical Company Organisation and approved by Irish Eczema Society, to name but a few. With TanOrganic you can get a gorgeous tan without the chemicals. Not only will it give you the tan sun-kissed, streak free and natural looking, it also smells gorgeous, deeply hydrates and won't flake off like other tans will.
TanOrganic first had a showbiz boost when it won backing on the Irish Dragon's Den, and the hype around the brand shows no signs of abating thanks to the flawless golden glow it gives. TanOrganic was created by Noelle O'Connor. From Kildare, Noelle didn't go to university, partly because she came from the kind of background where such expectations simply weren't part of the deal. She studied beauty therapy and opened a chain of salons. She got married young, and had two sons. Then, just as Noelle was ready to sell out, for a hefty sum, the country plunged into a vicious recession, slamming the door on all of her hopes. However, Noelle has managed to bring herself back, turning a point of no return into the start of a whole new story. In 2010 Noelle agreed to go on Dragons' Den and walked away with a €50,000 investment from Gavin Duffy, for her TanOrganic - a natural, odourless, certified-organic, paraben-free and sunless tan product. TanOrganic is the most successful Dragons Den company so far and growing from strength to strength ever since.
In line with the TanOrganic belief that we should be as careful about what we put on our skin as what we eat, the formulas contain no parabens, colours or artificial fragrances. Each product is formulated with the most nourishing natural ingredients available so not only is your tan long-lasting, your skin is also hydrated and nourished. TanOrganic has some outstanding credentials – not only is it the first self-tanning brand to be officially eco certified byEcocert, it's also been certified organic (by the Organic Trust), is cruelty free (certified by PETE) and has an Ethical Award from the Ethical Company Organisation. TanOrganic does not use plastic bottles (90% of skincare products use plastic packaging). Plastic packaging can and will cause a chemical reaction; it is well researched that chemicals 'leach-out' through plastic and mix with products. Many manufacturers again rely on synthetic ingredients to 'protect' the product. Glass is inert and known to be the most protective container for naturally active ingredients, and the dark colouring of the glass protects the ingredients from harmful UV light.
