Aromatherapy Associates' vision has remained unchanged for a generation: to share the true power of essential oils and the incredible effects they have at a therapeutic level. The range of mind altering essences has become a phenomenon in the beauty world, innovatively combining expertly blended essential oils with unique active botanicals. The result; beautiful, glowing, healthy skin free from harsh chemicals and unnecessary synthetics. Aromatherapy Associates work with farmers to ensure ingredients are grown to the highest degrees of purity, quality and ethical standards, and support fair trade, organic and traditional agriculture as they believe plants grown without chemicals have more benefits and fewer side effects for the skin and body.

The Story

Aromatherapy Associates are extremely proud to be able to trace a direct line back to the very beginnings of modern aromatherapy. Their studies began in the 1970s when founders Geraldine Howard and Sue Beechey both trained under experts and some of aromatherapy’s earliest practitioners, providing an ongoing link to the traditional principles and benefits of aromatherapy. Since those early days, Geraldine and Sue have maintained a deep passion for teaching, practising and blending oils. In 1985, Aromatherapy Associates was established to share the benefits of aromatherapy through a range of therapeutic-grade products and treatments. They have continued to develop and expand, with their products being used in exclusive hotels and spas and are now sold in over 40 countries worldwide.

The Ingredients

Aromatherapy Associates take the purest natural ingredients, and create blends that enhance the oil’s inherent properties, turning them into rich, beautifully scented products that deliver fantastic results. Every ingredient in every product has a positive role to play, and use nutrient rich vitamin and omega-rich plant oils such as jojoba, evening primrose and arctic strawberry seed oil, and shea and murumuru butters. Aromatherapy Associates products do not contain mineral or sulphonated oils, GM ingredients, SLS, petrolatum, propleyne glycol, parabens or animal derivatives (except for silk and beeswax, which are animal by-products). Since its inception 30 years ago, Aromatherapy Associates has never tested any of its ingredients or finished products on animals.
