Honeybee Gardens was created in 1995 by herbalist Melissa J. Hertzler. Honeybee offers pure, completely natural personal care and cosmetic products made from only the finest organic ingredients, offered at reasonable prices and never tested on animals. Honeybee renowned nail polishes and nail polish removers are entirely natural and free from toluene, formaldehyde and other toxic solvent-based chemicals usually found in conventional products.
Honeybee Gardens was created after years of herbal study prompted herbalist Melissa J. Hertzler to create natural personal care products that were safe and effective for her and her family. What began as kitchen cosmetics soon turned into Honeybee Gardens natural cosmetic products.
Honeybee cosmetic products are created entirely of natural materials. At Honeybee, they reuse and recycle as much as possible and, perhaps most importantly, do not test any products on animals (those are strict orders from dachshund 'Ginger', ten pussycats, 'Pekoe' the lovebird, 'Tortuga' the turtle and 'Dim Sum' the Chinese hamster)!
Honeybee is not your typical cosmetics company. They don't make products that follow the hottest new trends. They don't make false advertising claims or try to convince you that Honeybee products can perform miracles. All they do is make really good products made from really good ingredients that really work, trying to satisfy the real needs of real people.
Since 1995, Honeybee Gardens has operated under one simple concept, "Create pure, all-natural bath and body care products made from only the finest organic ingredients, offer them at a reasonable price, and treat every customer like a friend." Along the way, Honeybee managed to do some things they very proud of. For starters, under no circumstances they do animal testing, packaging is made from 100% recyclable materials, and raw material suppliers practice responsible harvesting.
But Honeybee Gardens also takes pride in the communities in which they operate. Honeybee contracts with a retail order fulfillment center that provides jobs to the physically challenged. Their soap company in Western Pennsylvania provides sample and production overruns to area charities and shelters for abused women and children, as well as the homeless. Profits on sales from the new "Cherokee" lipstick color go to support Native American festivals and charities. And since Honeybee Gardens, Inc. contracts with manufacturing facilities across the entire US, their growth helps provide jobs and supports local economies nationwide.
Particularly renowned are Honeybee nail polishes and odorless nail polish remover. No toluene, xylene, formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate or FD&C colours are used. Additionally, Honeybee Gardens cosmetics do not test any products on animals. Water-based polishes use an emulsion resin in the form of billions of small particles suspended in water. As the water evaporates, the particles touch each other and form a hard film which is no longer soluble in water. For those wanting an alternative to solvent-based nail enamel, Honeybee Gardens is the answer: A unique water-based polish is entirely natural totally odor-free. No more nasty fumes. Also there is no need for toxic smelly nail polish remover as Honeybee Gardens nail polish can be removed with rubbing alcohol, vodka/grain alcohol or the Honey Bee Gardens Odorless Polish Remover.
